Our constitutional objective is to apply all funds in excess of expenses to the development and, ultimately, delivery of new medicines, vaccines and other health interventions.  

 

The medicine development pathway itself is largely unchanged by a having either a “for profit” or “not for profit” objective. Efficiencies of process, clear decision making mechanisms and appropriate expenditure apply in either case, as do the regulatory bars that must be hurdled. Medicines Development Limited was founded to bring industry standard development techniques to new treatments and vaccines that would otherwise miss out on these skills. Our current objective is to identify appropriate targets and technologies for this purpose, bring them through the development process and work to deliver to those most in need.

 

While able to apply our skills to any technology in an area of unmet medical need, Medicines Development Limited has particularly strong infectious diseases expertise. The Medicines Development Limited team have worked under NIH grant and contract mechanisms providing the overall management of consortia of scientists, and bridging academic groups and commercial partners to bring the best aspects of both to the development process.
