Medicines Development Limited employs industry-standard methods to document those plans, assign budget and responsibilities, manage and check those activities for progress against milestones so that the program stays on track, the risks are identified prospectively and all the contributors are aligned with the same objectives.

 

Medicines Development Limited utilises the project team structure as the hub of the development process as this method ensures effective communication between the various functional experts contributing to each program. So many elements of clinical (and pre-clinical) development are inter-dependent that a forum for sharing information on progress and activities is mandatory - an example of the Project Team structure is shown below.

 

 

Medicines Development Limited also utilises a number of project management tools to support this structure, including working with the Project Team to prepare a Development Plan and translate this into a highly detailed work (project) plan in Microsoft Project. The Project Plan helps to identify the critical path, key milestones, resource and budgetary requirements, progress (including slippage in the program), and decision points. We then use a number of  personalised communication tools to provide efficient dissemination of information to the Project Team and key stakeholders.
