Melbourne, Australia, 5 November 2019
Mark Sullivan, Managing Director and Founder of Medicines Development for Global Health, was awarded one of EY Australia’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” awards in the social category for his work in establishing MDGH. The MDGH business model was singled out by the judging committee as “an exciting new way to develop, register, and deliver medicines for neglected diseases, providing a model for other biopharmaceutical companies to become involved.”

Awarded annually since 2001, the award program has recognized over 1500 Australian entrepreneurs for their accomplishments. According to EY, the program “recognises and celebrates the spirit and contribution of exceptional entrepreneurs. These are the individuals who see things beyond the horizon and help shape the future. By challenging orthodox methods and creating new markets for goods and services, entrepreneurs positively disrupt the way we do business and help enhance our quality of life.”
